Nurse Practitioners

Emma Martinez (f)

Team Leader Nurse Emma specialises in minor illnesses/injuries and is a nurse prescriber.  Also she has finished her Asthma Diploma Course.

Nurses

All of our practice nurses are fully qualified and registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).

The nurses can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. They also run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Trish Eckett (f)

Trish has particluar interest in Childrens Health and Travel Immunisations but also carries out other routine Treatment Room care for our patients. She is also a trained Diabetic nurse and works alongside her colleagues in supporting and managing their long term conditions.

Trish is also the Practice Care Plan coordinator working alongside the rest of the clinical team and key admin staff to identify and support patients who are more likely to have unplanned admissions to hospital. Her role requires her to visit patients in their home to help assess both their health and social care needs.

Kate Phillis

Kate is a longstanding member of the nursing team and has a special interest in Women's Health and is the lead nurse for the practice in this area.

Lynley Tietjens

Lynley works as a treatment room nurse returning to nursing 5 years ago.

Miss Stephie Olivia (f)

Stephie works as a practice nurse. She has previous district nursing background

Joanna Bushell (f)

Jo is our practice diabetic nurse. 

Health Practitioners

Ms Kristy Smith (f)

Kristy joined the practice in April 2017 as a Paramedic Practitioner and works as part of the extended clinical team, using her skills to see patients with acute illnesses and as well as carrying out many of the routine home visits and care home visits.

Mr John Mitchell (m)

 J MitchellJohn Mitchell is our musculoskeletal practitioner. 

 He qualified as a physiotherapist 20 years ago and also has a diploma in orthopaedic medicine and is an injection therapist

Healthcare Assistants

Our Healthcare Assistants (HCA's) support the nursing team with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure checks and new patient checks. They also carry out the leg ulcer clinic alongside the nurses as well the dementia checks and NHS Healthchecks on 40 -70 year olds.

They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Mrs Gloria Wiseman (f)

Phlebotomists

Our Phlebotomists work primarily in the mornings Tuesday to Friday each week and are the primary clinicians for taking blood samples for testing. They work closely with the nursing team and the HCA's assisting them with their clinical work.
