Acute prescription items must be ordered via EConsult.
Please ensure you are completing information about your relevant medical condition that you require the acute prescription for e.g. antidepressants for mental health, HRT, contraceptive pill reviews, etc.
Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in two ways:
1. Via the NHS App - please download from the relevant App store on your smart device
2. Via Patient Access - please click Patient Access link (insert link to Page in website)
All our prescriptions are now sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Our standard repeat prescription supply is for a maximum of 2 months. Additional supply is not permitted to ensure that drug shortages and waste do not occur.
Please allow 48 hours, i.e. 2 full working days, for prescriptions to be processed, remembering to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Please note requests for prescriptions made after 12:00 will be dealt with the following day.
During the current pandemic, patients who are unable to use the electronic methods of ordering above may send an email request to UGRprescriptions@nhs.net or contact our prescriptions team by phone. Please include your name, date of birth and which medication items you require in any communications.
