In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a range of clinics and services:
INR Clinic
This clinic is specifically for patients on Warfarin.
The clinic runs on Tuesday & Wednesday mornings from 8am and patients can book an appointment on-line or by phone or in person. To book on line patients will need to register for Patient Access. Please click on the Appointments option from the top tool bar towards the top of the page and then click on the link for instruction on how to register for on-line appointments and prescription requests.
Family Planning
Our family planning specialist nurse runs a clinic in association with your GP for all aspects of contraception including renewal of the contraceptive pill. We provide a service for Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARCS) including IUD's (Coils) and Implants.
Well Woman Clinics
These offer cervical smear tests, breast self-examination and blood pressure checks.
Baby Immunisations Clinic
For immunisations by the practice nurse
Well-Person Checks
These are by appointment only and offer health checks and lifestyle advice to patients over 16 years old.
Asthma/COPD Clinic (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
An asthma trained nurse will monitor progress and help patients with self-management of their disease. Our HCA's will carry out initial assessments and tests prior to your actual review with the nurse. For flexibility, some reviews can be done over the phone for patients who are stable on their treatments.
Ulcer Clinic
Held weekly on a Wednesday morning for the assessment and treatment of leg ulcers and related problems. Dressings appointments are also available on other days with the Nurses and HCA's.
Nurse Clinic
Held daily by appointment with the nurse and covers blood pressure checks, blood tests, dressings, suture removal etc. Nurse Specialist appointments are also available in some of these clinics for Chronic Disease management to allow flexibility for patients.
Diabetic Clinic
This clinic is run by a practice nurse in conjunction with a GP who specialises in diabetes. The clinic is used to offer advice, monitor progress and help patients in self-management of their disease. Our HCA's will carry out initial assessments and tests prior to your actual review with the nurse or doctor.
Travel Clinic
Trained nurses offer comprehensive advice and any necessary vaccinations to patients who intend to travel abroad. The clinics are held five times a week .Some of these vaccinations are chargeable and must be paid for on the date of administration. This practice is an officially designated centre for the administration of Yellow Fever vaccine. See the above tab for more details.
